Lear Fan 2100

The Lear Fan 2100 was the last aircraft project of William P. Lear. He passed on in 1978, a couple of years after starting it. Without his genius and strong leadership, the project failed. However, two prototypes were built and they both flew.

The Lear Fan was a revolutionary design (see video below for more information) as it was built entirely in carbon-fibre, twice as strong as aluminum at half the weight, a revolutionary material at the time, saving weight and providing unparalelled performance and economy.

More pictures and stories and documents coming soon.
